Stampin’ Up! Layered Florals Valentine’s Day Card (2024)

Here is one more Valentine’s Day card for you today…and this one goes out to all of you! Happy Valentine’s Day from me to you!

If you need to make a quick Valentine’s Day card for that special someone, this card is easy to create. For this card I used the Layered Florals 3D Embossing Folder, sentiments from the Adoring Hearts Stamp Set along with some trim and Shimmer Gems. Create your own quick and easy Valentine’s Day card by selecting a favorite color, embossing folder and sentiments!

I love purples and I have used all three Stampin’ Up! shades of purple on this card today – Fresh Freesia, Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape. I started off with a panel of Highland Heather and embossed this panel using the Layered Florals 3D Embossing Folder. I then used a Blending Brush to blend Gorgeous Grape ink over the embossed surface of the panel. The panel was matted to a piece of Gorgeous Grape cardstock, then adhered to a Thick Basic White card base.

I looped a length of Silver Simply Elegant Trim and adhered this towards the top of the card front. The “To my valentine” sentiment was stamped onto a piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock in Gorgeous Grape ink and I used the largest banner die from the Stylish Shapes Dies to cut out the sentiment. The sentiment label was then adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals and placed over top of the looped trim.

I stamped the small floral image from the Adoring Hearts Stamp Set onto the upper right and lower left corners of the inside panel, then stamped an additional sentiment onto the panel in Gorgeous Grape ink. The panel was adhered to a Gorgeous Grape mat, then adhered to the inside of the card.

I repeated stamping of the small floral image on the envelope front and envelope flap. I added several Purple Fine Shimmer Gems to finish up the card.

In this free class, I will show you how I use these pencils to really make my stamped images pop, how to use the pencils in different ways to apply color, along with other tips and tricks.

• Enjoy this free Technique Class from the comfort of your own home via a Zoom video call. This allows you to be in your own workspace without the need to travel in case you’d like to create along with me! The Zoom platform will also allow you to ask questions in real time!

• The Zoom Call In information will be emailed to all who sign up by Tuesday, February 27. It is recommended that you join the call from a computer, laptop, or tablet for the best viewing experience.
• The class is expected to last approximately one hour but could run a little longer.
• If you would like to craft along with me or create this project at a later time, I will be using the Enduring Beauty Stamp Set for the stamped image example (see more information below if you’d like to order any of the supplies I will be using for this class)
• Once the class is completed, all participants will receive a document containing the tips and tricks I share in the class along with a card project tutorial.
